January Snowshoe Hike

2022 is shaping up to be an amazing year of programming and I am so excited to share it with you all! Our first snowshoe program in January was fantastic – we had bluebird skies, fresh powder, and an amazing guide! Our February snowshoe hike is already FULL, so check the calendar for March and April dates if you’d like to join. The hikes are paced for the group and focus on the experience over the destination. Reserve your spot on the website today!

I am also looking forward to our first program in the new “EverGREEN Living Series” on Monday, February 7th at Boone Mountain Sports. Our presenter will be demonstrating how to make your own personal care products at home and includes samples for you to take home of each product she demonstrates at the event. This is the first of three programs annually and is a partnership between Evergreen Audubon, Evergreen Sustainability Alliance, and Boone Mountain Sports. The goal is to provide DIY projects and increase participants’ ability to live sustainably!

We have numerous kid’s programs kicking off in March, including a brand-new Spring Break Camp and a return of our After-School Programs with Wilmot, Marshdale, and King-Murphy Elementary schools! Our Summer Camp programs are back this year and are LIVE on the website for registration. We will also be launching a new Summer Camp offering in Clear Creek County in partnership with Easterseals Rocky Mountain Village in Empire. This offering will be for kids in grades 6-8 and focused on an introduction to birds! Registration will open on March 1st. Please share these opportunities with any families who might be interested!

Lastly, I am excited to share that we are installing a new exhibit at the Evergreen Library for the month of February! Our display will highlight upcoming programs, including Wildlife Watch, our Nestboxes, and a plethora of biofacts and mounts! I hope you’ll stop by the library sometime this month to check it out!

I look forward to launching a full year of programming in our mountain communities and continuing to expand our offerings. If you have ideas for programming that you would like to see or experiences that you are interested in, please let me know! Keep checking the website calendar, as there is still so much in the works!
