Presentation Summary

Join Ron Belak and Peg Linn in remembering their travels last year in the Alps.

A large sharp, granite mountain with sparse snow against a blue sky with whispy clouds.
The Matterhorn, Pennine Alps (c) Ron Belak

Their journey began in Zurich and proceeded clockwise for 14 days around the country and dipped down into France. We will enter Medieval city centers, ascend on gondolas for panoramic vistas, walk on and inside glaciers, cruise across mountain lakes, tour a winery and talk about different but great cuisine. Iconic sites include Mount Pilatus, the Matterhorn, Aiguille du Midi, Montreux, and the “Top of Europe.” A few paragliders will be thrown in for good measure as well as the birds with which they compete.

About the Speaker

Layered mountains starting with granite in the front, with green mountains layered behind and more green mountains tipped with granite behind that, layered on a blue sky with low hanging white clouds.
