Winter is fully upon our Evergreen world. Snow is present across the landscape, birds gather at our feeders, and wild creatures are often hard to spy. The long nights are a time to dream of trips and travels in warmer sunnier months.  Your February Evergreen Audubon Chapter meeting will be a great place to indulge in those dreams when Ron Belak, a fellow Evergreen Audubon member presents “Norway and Sweden: Fjords,  Castles, Archeology, and Birds” at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Evergreen Church of the Transfiguration and virtually via Zoom. Please note the new day and time for our Chapter Meetings!

Doors open at 6:00 pm, and you will want to arrive early to get yourself a great seat for this presentation, to catch up with your fellow Audubon Chapter members, and to learn about all the great events and opportunities you can participate in with Evergreen Audubon.

We are indeed fortunate that Ron and his partner Peg Linn will lead us through images and memories of their trip to Scandinavia. They visited these northern latitudes last June and will share their adventures exploring the fjords, archaeological sites, petroglyphs, and Scandinavian culture. We will see castles, burial mounds, recreated Viking villages, and gorgeous scenery in the Norwegian mountains and along the Swedish coast. As is common in Ron and Peg’s travels, there will be birds along the way.
