The effects of changing climate on flowering plants and the birds that depend on them, especially the Broad-Tailed Hummingbird, will be the focus of your Evergreen Audubon April Chapter meeting when David Inouye, retired professor from the University of Maryland and Researcher at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory, presents “Floral resources for migratory hummingbirds” on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 6:30 pm at Evergreen Church of the Transfiguration and virtually via Zoom. Our June Evergreen Audubon Chapter Meeting is a doubleheader: A native plants ID workshop followed by our Chapter Meeting and presentation by Nate Goeckner and Erin Decker on “Native Landscaping for Biodiversity” come early at 5:30 pm for the plant ID workshop and stay for the program that will help you understand how to put your new-found knowledge to use in creating a beautiful native plant landscape. Then on Saturday you can get the native plants you need at our 3rd annual native plant sale and see the plants on the landscape at the native plant demonstration garden at Hiwan Homestead. This is one series of events that you won’t want to miss-We’ll see you there!
