Barr Lake State Park, Adams County, Colorado is one of the Front Range’s premier birding locations. Many birders come to Barr Lake State Park specifically for the waterfowl and shorebirds that are attracted to the 1,900-acre reservoir, but the extensive cottonwood galleries and substantial grasslands attract many other species not specifically associated with lakes and riparian habitats.
