Saying Goodbye to Heather and Brad

Members and friends gathered on June 5th for the bittersweet occasion of thanking Brad Andres and Heather Johnson for their many years of participation and commitment to Evergreen Audubon and The Evergreen Nature Center.  While we are sad that they are leaving, we did our best to give them a happy send-off as they begin their new adventures as retirees in Laramie, Wyoming. Lucky for us, Laramie is only 129 miles to the north and we are hopeful that our friends will be back to see us often!

Brad has been on the Evergreen Audubon board for 16 years. Under his leadership and guidance, and of course, with the work and support of so many others, the Nature Center was established and Evergreen Audubon’s role in the community transformed from its origin as a birding organization to a full-fledged provider of nature education and conservation advocacy in our mountain community.

Heather also served several years on the board and has been an active volunteer in several roles including fundraising and human resources.  She has provided wonderful photographs for our publications / social media accounts and has been a source of ongoing positive energy and fun.

Thank you and best wishes, Brad and Heather!

Enjoy these great photos of the event.
