Why should Evergreen Audubon members care about the annual Triple ByPass, the bicycle ride during which 5,000 bicyclists travel from Bergen Park to Vail, along 118 glorious Rocky Mountain miles, over three mountain passes with closed roads, aid stations, adoring fans and then enjoy a party with free beer at the end?

Because Evergreen Audubon earns a share of the event’s profit based on how many volunteer hours we contribute. This community event is a fun time and an important source of income for us. We’ve had a variety of jobs in the past, but have been assigned to monitor foot and bicycle traffic and parking at the Georgetown Railroad Depot for several years now and possibly some other tasks associated with the race registration process.

The more people who participate and the more hours we put in, the more we raise!
