From the Director: 2025 in Review

It’s hard to believe that we are almost finished with 2025. This was another exciting year for Evergreen Audubon & Nature Center, with numerous highlights to celebrate. I want to elaborate on just a few of those as we prepare to step into the new year.

While we still have a few programs left in December, we have already engaged with more than 6,000 program participants in 2025! Through a combined effort of staff and volunteers, we offered more than 200 programs to our community. Our goal with every program is to foster contagious enthusiasm with participants, and hope that they leave excited and curious about the natural world. Thank you to the following staff and volunteers for supporting and leading programs throughout 2025:

Evergreen Nature Center

As we wrap up our second full year at our “new” location, we are seeing steady growth in our visitation numbers. This year we had more than 2,000 visitors to Evergreen Nature Center! We also welcomed five new animal ambassadors to the center – a new Bullsnake, an albino Milksnake, and three Ornate Box Turtles! These ambassadors continue to inspire awe in our visitors and program participants. We are so grateful that Evergreen Nature Center is their forever home! Thank you to the following volunteers who supported Evergreen Nature Center as a Visitor Assistant in 2025:

I truly cannot express how much we appreciate every single volunteer, and how blown away I am by the community of folks who continually step up to support every part of this organization.
