It’s always a treat to go out and have a day in which four woodpecker species are found! Also, a definite highlight was the number of Olive-sided Flycatchers that kept singing, “Quick-Three-Beers.”
We were surrounded by an abundance of showy alpine flowers that were generally easy to identify, and we were gratified to be out on the tundra on a beautiful morning.
