The start of a new year brings new opportunities, and I am excited by what Evergreen Audubon has in store for 2023! We have been presented with multiple opportunities to expand our outreach through partnerships with organizations such as the Outdoor Lab Foundation, Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District, Clear Creek High School, King-Murphy Elementary, and an expansion of our partnership with Evergreen Public Library. We will be partnering with each of these organizations to further increase our educational impact in new areas. Building partnerships is incredibly rewarding and I look forward to seeing how this “cross-pollination” will enrich our communities.

We will also continue our after-school programming at Wilmot Elementary, Marshdale Elementary, and Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen for the spring season. The 7-week programs start at the end of March and run through the second week of May.

In addition to our after-school programs, our summer camp registration is LIVE as of February 1st!

Lastly, as our outreach and school programming continues to expand, I would like to ask for your input regarding our public programs. We have the capacity to offer a wide range of programs, and while I have no shortage of ideas, I would like to hear from YOU! What nature-based topics have you been curious about? What is an outdoor experience you would like to try? These can be ideas for more formal presentations or outdoor excursions! If there’s anything you’ve been itching to learn more about, please let me know! You can email me your ideas at EOD@EvergreenAudubon.org.
