Annual Picnic!
July 10th 4pm – 7pm
Looking for some outdoor summer fun? Join fellow Evergreen Audubon members for a great time at the annual summer picnic. We will be returning to the Barn in the Evergreen Highlands neighborhood. Only about 12 minutes from downtown Evergreen, this open space offers something for everyone—plenty of room for outdoor games (bring your favorites), a playground, a volleyball court, and there is a historic barn in case of a summer shower! Parking is convenient and there’s a restroom (port-a-potty) on site.
PLEASE RSVP to socialevents@evergreenaudubon.org BY JULY 7th so we know how many beverages we will need!
The picnic will be a Pot Luck. Bring your favorite dish to share with others and….
- Bring Your Own Place-setting! It’s an Evergreen Audubon tradition to make this an almost zero-waste event, so please bring your own plates, cloth napkins, silverware, and cups for the beverages we will provide!
- Bring Your Own Chairs: there are a few picnic tables at the Barn, but please bring your own camp/lawn chair… it makes it easier to socialize.
- Bring Your Own Stories to share! What have you been up to since we saw you last? We can’t wait to catch up with everyone. It has been way too long.
EVERGREEN AUDUBON WILL BE PROVIDING BEER, WINE, and DESSERT!
- Please bring your own cups for the beverages. We will have a jug of water so you can fill up your water bottles as well.
- Again, our goal is to be zero-waste!
Location and Directions to the Evergreen Highlands Commons Area (between Silverhorn & Kilimanjaro):
- Take North Turkey Creek Road from Highway 73 or Highway 285.
- Turn onto either Silverhorn or Kilimanjaro Drive. ~ 2 miles from HWY 73 or ~5 miles from HWY 285. Silverhorn has a bronze coyote on the west entrance wall and Kilimanjaro has a bronze black bear on the east entrance wall.
- Turn at either the first left or right (depending on which road you came in on). There is no street name, but there is an Evergreen Highlands wooden sign and you should be able to see the barn
PLEASE RSVP to socialevents@evergreenaudubon.org BY JULY 7th so we know how many beverages we will need!
