From elusive salamanders to sunbathing snakes, Colorado’s reptiles and amphibians play a crucial role in our ecosystems. Join Kate Boyd, Executive Director and wildlife rehabilitator for the Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies, for an in-depth look at these often-overlooked species. Learn about common species in your area, the challenges they face today, and what we can do to support their conservation. Kate will share insights from her work in rescue and rehabilitation, along with tips for identifying these fascinating creatures in the wild.

About the Speaker

Meet Kate Boyd, a wildlife rehabilitator and zoologist dedicated to protecting the unique reptiles and amphibians of Colorado. With a background in zoology, animal rescue, and wildlife rehabilitation, Kate has spent 10 years working with and advocating for the preservation of these fascinating creatures. As the Executive Director of the Reptile & Amphibian Center of the Rockies, they lead education programs, provide daily care for numerous rescue animals and animal ambassadors, and collaborate with local community groups to promote coexistence with our reptile and amphibian neighbors.
