All ages and abilities welcome!  Join Chuck Aid for our May 17 outing to Walden Ponds in Boulder.  Walden Ponds is a collection of about seventeen flooded gravel pits adjacent to Boulder Creek in eastern Boulder.  It is one of Boulder’s premier birding sites due to its variety of habitats – open water, gravel bars, sandy beaches, shrubby islands, cattail marshes, dense riparian habitat, and mature cottonwood gallery forest.

Bring water and a snack, clothing appropriate for the weather, and your spotting scope if you have one.  Meet either at the Bergen Park-and-Ride at 6:30 or at Walden Ponds at 7:30.  We will head back to Evergreen around noon – details will be sent to registrants.

These walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to join Evergreen Audubon.  You must register here to attend this event.  If you are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separately.  This event is filled when we have 12 registrants, but it is possible to put yourself on the waitlist and cancellations do occur with some regularity.

Thanks!  Chuck Aid
