All ages and abilities welcome!  Getting out and looking for winter raptors is not just something we do to pass the time until Spring migration comes along.  It is an activity to be anticipated and relished!  Join Chuck Aid for our Winter Raptor Outing on February 1, from 7:00 to 12:00.  We’ll be cruising some dirt roads south of Barr Lake and checking out the prairie dog towns for winter raptors. Birding will be primarily from the side of the road without much walking.  Depending on how the morning evolves we may choose to visit the Rocky Mountain Arsenal.

Ferruginous Hawk (c) Rob Raker

Bring water, a snack, and dress for the occasion. We’ll meet at the Bergen Park-n-Ride at 7:00, or you can meet us at a Starbucks just north of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal at 7:30 AM.  Details will be sent to registrants.

These walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to join Evergreen Audubon.  You must register here to attend this event.  If you are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separately.  This event is filled when we have 12 registrants, but it is possible to put yourself on the waitlist and cancellations do occur with some regularity.

Thanks!
Chuck Aid
