The one thing that tops being in the field all day counting birds or doing a feeder watch is coming together at the end of the day with all those other folks who have been doing the same thing to share our stories and data from the day. A great potluck expands the offerings beyond our traditional chili dinner (both meat and veg), the boots and coats get stacked by the door, the wine glasses emerge, and a wonderful community spirit arises.  It really is one of the highlights of the Evergreen Audubon year.
