All ages and abilities welcome!  Join Chuck Aid for our Birding Expedition on April 12, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.  Weld County is huge, but we will be focusing on the portion between Hudson and Kersey where the waterbird habitats are extensive with numerous ponds and cattail marshes.

By necessity this will be a full day, but a rewarding one.  Bring water, a snack, lunch, more snacks, and dress for the occasion.  We will meet at the Bergen Park Park-and-Ride at 6:30 AM, or you can meet us at the Bison Ridge Rec Center at 7:00.  Details will be provided to registrants.

The day will be spent driving to a variety of locations, where we will stop and view the nearby ponds and marshes.  If you have a spotting scope definitely bring it along.  There will not be a lot of walking.  Restrooms will be sparse to non-existent (there are gas stations in Hudson and Kersey).

Small, round, orange-legged shorebird with a solid, brown breast band with white throat and belly, and brown back and cap. Has a short, blunt bill

These walks are for Evergreen Audubon members and their guests. Non-members won’t be turned away but will be encouraged to join Evergreen Audubon.  You must register here to attend this event.  If you are registering for more than one person, please enter each person separately.  This event is filled when we have 12 registrants, but it is possible to put yourself on the waitlist and cancellations do occur with some regularity.

Thanks!
Chuck Aid
