Saturday Bird Walk to Barr Lake State Park and Nature Center
Barr Lake State Park, Adams County, Colorado is one of the Front Range’s premier birding locations. Many birders come to Barr Lake State Park specifically for the waterfowl and shorebirds that are attracted to the 1,900-acre reservoir, but the extensive cottonwood galleries and substantial grasslands attract many other species not specifically associated with lakes and riparian habitats.

Explore More! – After School is a 7 week program for students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Each class will consist of a short nature-based lesson followed by activities such as games, art projects, nature journaling and hikes, of course! STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math) concepts and project-based learning activities using science tools such as microscopes, binoculars, hand lenses and measures are incorporated into every lesson.
