The purpose of the Evergreen Nature Center is to foster contagious enthusiasm and life-long respect for the natural world by providing fun and inspiring educational experiences for people throughout the entire Bear Creek Watershed.

We’ve changed locations, moving from the warming hut on Evergreen Lake to the Church of the Transfiguration campus. We are now located in the historic Bancroft House just east of Evergreen, Colorado.  We look forward to seeing you in our new space!

Kids will love our Touch Table with real animal furs and antlers, and grown-ups will enjoy the animal and bird displays. We have lots of information about the natural environment in the area.

Come by soon and meet our Bull Snake, Jennifer, our Tiger Salamander, Moco, and our Newt, Wayne (Newton)!
