Have you ever wondered what kind of bird is in your backyard, or pondered about the species of hawk perched high on a telephone wire? If so, this program is perfect for you!

Join Evergreen Audubon for a morning at Mountain Area Land Trust’s beautiful Sacramento Creek Ranch to learn the basics of bird watching. We’ll cover introductory identification tips, practice using binoculars, and talk about local species before taking a relaxed walk around the property. This program welcomes all ages and skill levels!

What to bring:

  • Binoculars – Evergreen Audubon has a limited quantity of spare binoculars to lend out. They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • Weather appropriate clothes for a morning outside
  • Comfortable hiking shoes
  • Water
  • Optional: Snack
