Join Evergreen Audubon and Mountain Area Land Trust for an opportunity to discover the birds that call South Park home. All are welcome whether you’re brand-new to the world of birding, or you already bird on the regular!

Sacramento Creek Ranch is a stunning 71-acre property consisting of forest and wetland habitat in Fairplay, Colorado. Explore this incredible property and see what birds call this area home.

What to Expect: 

  • No prior bird knowledge is needed! This walk aims to provide a baseline set of skills and provide you with some helpful tools to identify birds.
  • The pace will be fairly relaxed during the hike – the goal will be practicing our identification skills and the use of identification tools (i.e. the eBird app, binoculars, field guides, etc.)

What to Bring: 

  • Comfortable hiking shoes
  • Weather appropriate clothing
  • Hiking poles (optional)
  • Water
  • Snacks
  • Daypack
  • Binoculars (if you have them – Evergreen Audubon will have some pairs available to borrow)

This event is FREE, but registration is required.
