Bash Breaks a Record!

The annual Evergreen Audubon Bash and Benefit on Friday, April 22nd was our most successful fund-raising event ever, raising approximately $17,000! It would not have been possible without the support of the businesses and individuals who donated items for the silent auction and the wonderful generosity of those who attended. We were thrilled to see so many new folks come out to support Evergreen Audubon, our Nature Center, and educational programming.

As our programs grow, so does our budget, and the enthusiastic support of the programs through paddle raise bids was both amazing and a big show of faith for Emma Vasicek, our Education and Outreach Director. Folks were so generous, all the paddle raise requests were met, but you can still contribute. In order for those who couldn’t attend the Bash to get in on the fun, we added online paddle raises. Let’s see if we can raise another $3,000 to reach an even bigger record-breaking sum.

There are a few Bash Silent Auction items that are still available, including spots at the GoPaint Sip and Ceramic Party on May 19th and the Card Making Sip and Create Party on August 18th. We also have a few signed copies of Jacqueline Crivello’s The Magic of the Forrest book.

You would be amazed by all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into planning the Bash and Benefit. Thanks to our staff, board members, and their spouses for making the event such a success: Chuck Aid & Cyncie Winter, Brad Andres & Heather Johnson, Ann & Ed Dodson, Linda Engelhart & John Fowler, Ed & Andrea Furlong, Stephanie Gomolka & Arawan GajajivaJoAnn & Bill Hackos, Rachel & Dave HutchisonMelissa & Todd Leasia, Kathy Madison & Steve Garman, Holly & Chris Marr, Maddy McFarland, Emma & Jordan Vasicek, and Lisa & David Wald.
